JOSEPH TERINO
Assistant Vice-President
Communications and Human Resources Department
When I finished
high school in Italy, I decided to attend college in the States.
After graduating, I arrived in NYC without a clear professional
direction and without a job. My first interview was with Lenore
Lofredo and Evan Lee at Accent International. Both Lenore and Evan
distinguished themselves from most other professional recruiters
in that they were not simply trying to place me somewhere. They
were genuinely interested in my welfare and professional development.
Through Lenore and Evan, I joined an Italian Bank as bilingual receptionist
in 1989 and immediately started a management-training program that
eventually led me to the Human Resource Department. I gained increasing
responsibility throughout the eleven years I worked there as HR
Generalist, as well as earning a Masters Degree in Human Resource
Management.
I left the Italian Bank to join a dot.com in March of 2000. I learned
a lot by seeing the company move from infancy to its early demise
in the spring of 2001. I never imagined I would return to banking,
but Evan and Lenore convinced me to at least consider an opportunity
that they deemed perfect for me at DZ Bank AG, a German bank. When
I met the HR Manager and other DZ persons, I was very impressed
by their openness and cutting edge work philosophy. I joined DZ
Bank in May of 2001 as Assistant Vice President in the Communications
and Human Relations Department. I feel very fortunate to work at
DZ Bank and thank Evan and Lenore for their support in my professional
development.
